When I first met Monique, my knowledge and understanding of individuals with disabilities was limited. She opened my eyes to how truly able they are. Monique’s passion and talent are on display when she does makeup. Her talents range from minimal, but impactful style, to wildly creative artistry to match an equally wild subject matter. All the while, Monique is learning new techniques to better master her art. Over the years, Monique has thought of new ways and championed the creation of tools to facilitate doing makeup for those with limited mobility in their hands. I am blessed to have been able to photograph her work over the years.
